Welcome to the website for Yesterday on the Internet: Diary of a Cultural Warrior,
the new book from Light Publications.
WARNING: Yesterday on the Internet: Diary of a Cultural Warrior contains explicit language and dangerous, progressive ideas.
In 2010, ex-blogger John Speck – known on the Internet as Frymaster – wrote a semi-secret, daily, e-mail newsletter called Yesterday on the Internet for his friends in progressive political campaigns in Providence, RI. The simple format included a headline and link to a news story or website, followed by Speck’s sharp-edged commentary.
The book or e-book contains almost 600 separate entries, covering everything from the wonkiest research reports to lolcats and from the BP blowout to the Rhode Island politician who told President Obama to “shove it”.
